One of the most common requirements my clients have when they are looking for a place to buy is that it be located within walking distance of cafes, shops, and restaurants. I can understand this need as I, also, enjoy being able to walk out my front door and find within a block or two all of these amenities.
If I feel in the mood to get some exercise like I did this morning, I’ll walk eight blocks to Fillmore Street in Pacific Heights and then two more to JANE, a bakery, breakfast and lunch spot. It’s a perfect place to meet someone for coffee. It’s located between Sacramento and California on Fillmore. It’s been very popular since the minute it opened. But, if you are going there in the morning, get there before 8am like I did this morning or you’ll find yourself waiting in a long line.
The place attracts a lot of locals but a few giggling tourists walked in this morning, realizing what a great “find” they had found. JANE has wi-fi, but you must vacate the tables by 11AM to allow their use for people having lunch. It’s open from 7am to 6pm. It’s just one of the many delightful places in this city we call home – San Francisco!
